Evan Clarner

​

Praised for his artistic touch and musical sensibility, Evan Clarner has specialized in historical keyboard instruments since the age of 14.  After previously having been an oboist, Evan later became interested in the harpsichord and has since participated in several masterclasses throughout the United States and has studied with acclaimed harpsichordists Edward Parmentier, Skip Sempé, Lisa Goode-Crawford and Mitzi Meyerson.  He is a frequent accompanist and continuo player in solo performances, also making appearances in ensembles Lumedia Musicworks and Le Salon Musical.  Evan is also skilled in harpsichord maintenance, and was appointed in 2017 as the harpsichord technician for the University of North Texas College of Music.  Evan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas where he studied harpsichord under Brad Bennight, fortepiano with Christoph Hammer, and baroque oboe with Kathryn Montoya.
